non-exhaustive lists
shout out to the people who love making lists and love doing projects. how are your lists doing? they’re long, huh? yeah. here’s ours, minus all the steps that go into it all.
renovation to-do before november 2024-
- reseal and re-coat main roof and slide roofs
- replace bathroom vent cover
- remove damaged wall paneling and replace it
- rip out carpet, add new flooring
- replace tires before making it take a trip
- take out old toilet, cover tank hole
- sell old mattress
- install a heating system
- move things into the trailer before we leave again
- obtain used solar panels
- install insulative trailer skirting via repurposed billboard vinyl
making land legally and otherwise livable-
- getting the county to answer the phone to see about registering a rural address
- obtain a mailbox
- contact neighbors and surveyors to create an easement
- clear the most perfect space for parking the travel trailer
- construct our compost bin
- establish a water harvesting system
- establish our compost toilet system
- perfect our off grid kitchen
- set up solar power
- find free or cheap potable water sources
- construct a shade/snow trailer cover
- get county permits to construct an adobe structure (then make it!)
- research native edibles and medicinals to plant in ground
- research non-native edibles/medicinals to grow in raised beds
- create raised beds, get other gardening supplies
