This salve is formulated with healing herbs that can heal scars from new and old wounds. Plantain and comfrey contain allantoin which is useful on scar tissue due to it promoting collagen production in the skin. St. John’s Wort provides many sources of topical healing with skin soothing, anti-inflammatory properties as well as aiding plantain and comfrey in cell reparation. Lavender gifts us with its aroma, anti-inflammatory, and anti-septic benefits. Using the salve on scars may require habitual use.

Note: comfrey should not be used on open wounds, as it can cause the surface to heal too quickly which could get infected and form an abscess. Click here for a healing salve without comfrey!
